About EaseMyStudy

Our Mission

EaseMyStudy exists so students can plan their week, prove what they have actually learned, and check in at the library without extra friction. We believe progress should be honest — a topic is complete only when you pass its quiz — and presence at a study space should be automatic when you are really there.

We are part of the NeelCortex family. EaseMyStudy is the student app; EaseMySeat is the library admin side. Together they cover the desk, the syllabus, and the door.

What We Do

The iOS app (iOS 17+) gives enrolled students a single place for study operations:

• Weekly timetable with optional slot reminders
• Exam → chapter → topic syllabus with live progress rings
• Quizzes that gate syllabus completion (failing keeps the topic in “needs more study”)
• Library attendance via Bluetooth receiver, library WiFi SSID, ~50m geofence, and OTP/QR staff fallback
• Study sessions with water and sitting-break notifications
• Share sheet for exam completion and latest quiz scores

How Attendance Works

Only students enrolled at a library can mark attendance. When the library has an EaseMySeat Bluetooth receiver, the app tries BLE first (detect + dwell). If there is no receiver, or BLE does not fire, connecting to the library WiFi SSID is a valid auto-mark path. Location inside about 50 meters is used as an anti-spoof companion. If neither BLE nor WiFi confirms you are there, you can show a staff OTP/QR fallback — the same idea as Cityflo-style Bluetooth boarding with an OTP backup.

Bluetooth carries only opaque receiver IDs. Your identity is written through the authenticated API, not over the radio.

Technology

EaseMyStudy is a native SwiftUI app with SwiftData for offline-first timetable, syllabus, quiz, and wellness data. Attendance events queue locally and sync when the network is back. The backend is the shared Supabase project used by EaseMySeat, with a student auth path instead of the admin gate.

Location, WiFi presence, Bluetooth, and notifications sit behind protocols so the product can ship libraries without receivers today and add BLE hardware later without rewriting the study loop.
